Best Friend is thousands of Miles away

I am 21 years old and my best friend is as well. We have been best friends since we were in the 5th grade, 10 years old. Which is more than half our lives and in February 2007 She moved to Missouri to be with the man she was going to Marry. It was very difficult for me that she moved because I was never very close with my family...But i told her everything. She is more like a sister rather than a friend. Both me and her have had plenty of problems and hard times I would say more than average but now days there are plenty of people just as screwed up as we are, sooo about average. When me and her get together and we are having an argument we start off screaming at each other, then we are crying our eyes out and then laughing soo hard we are turning red. Its a strange and wonderful bond we have *shrugs* what can I say. So Okay she moved in 2007 and it was really rough on me I actually gained ALOT of weight since then which is strange but that's what happened.

When we took her to the airport, we actually have pictures I was the one in the picture crying soo hard my face is red and my eyes look like their closed but their swollen shut. For the first 2 years of her being gone it felt like "one of those freak accidents where you lose your arm but you still have that the sensation its there. Like a Phantom arm"

When she first left we talked on the phone or computer EVERY day like we always did about any thing and everything and this lasted maybe 6 months. Then we began to talk less and less as to be expected since shes 5 hours ahead of me and that doesn't seem like a whole lot but when your both busy its just too much. This past year We tried to talk everyday again and we did for about 5 months I even played WOW= World of Warcraft because she liked it and it was just a way of spending time with her but its just been getting harder and harder to talk and lately I have come to terms with the fact that we are not going to stay close and I should just accept it and move on with my life. Not dismiss her as a friend but I am going to not focus on the fact that shes gone because its not helping any that I dwell on that fact.

I know that shes only a friend...but if you had a friend like her you wouldnt want to let her go either. its just been really rough. So I am finally moving on and getting my life in order.  Hoping things will work out, as does everyone else.
